Spring Butterfly Cookies

I made these mini-butterfly cookies with cutters from this set. They're only about an inch long, each. First, I piped the outlines in black, then quickly filled them with 15-second icing (a bit thicker than flooding icing; drawing a spoon through, the line disappears in around 15 seconds). Then, with a toothpick, I drew lines inward from the black to the color, and then plopped in a few dots here and there. The decorating was pretty quick, but the actual cookie-cutting was a pain—getting the dough out between the butterflies was a nightmare. I don't think I'll put myself through it again anytime soon :D

These wafer papers are available for purchase here. Happy baking! :)
